El Cortecito is a nice and beautiful coastal area in Bavaro. It is located in the city center on the shores of the eponymous El Cortecito beach, between the Los Corales and Arena Gorda beaches.
This resort area has its own distinct vibe, rhythm of life, and charm. Unlike any other part of the city, it’s a favorite among tourists, snowbirds, and those craving a tropical, friendly atmosphere amidst an international community of cheerful and sociable individuals. It’s always bustling here, with the area constantly on the move.
This is a place where you’ll never be bored and never feel alone. In addition to its special atmosphere and character, the area is highly convenient and well-stocked, eliminating the need for residents and guests to venture to other parts of town. Everything you may need, or desire is right at your fingertips:

Part of the area is the gated residential complex Los Corales, located on the beachfront of the eponymous beach and comprising several independent condominiums, condo-hotels, and private villas. It is one of the most well-known complexes, even more famous than the area itself. Often, tourists or even locals refer to the entire Cortecito area by its name—some intentionally, others by mistake. This is not of great importance, as the boundaries of Los Corales are not very obvious, and the amenities and infrastructure are accessible to both residents of the complex and the surrounding area.
With amazing nature around, everything is drowned in a riot of tropical colors: flowers, dozens of palm trees, lakes, forests, birds, and, of course, the beach, marked with a blue flag, serves as the primary attraction and favorite destination for the inhabitants, the pearl and wealth of the area. By the way, this is the only area of the entire coast with access to the beach open to everyone, regardless of where one resides or stays, allowing anyone to enjoy the turquoise waters and soft coral white sand. Therefore, from anywhere in the area, the distance to the beach is within walking distance.
This is the heart of the Bavaro in the truest sense of the word. If someone talks about this town or has been here before, they remember or represent this particular neighborhood. It sets trends, creates the mood and character of the entire town, and reflects the time and condition. It attracts and beckons. This area, like all iconic places, places with a special character, never leaves anyone indifferent. Someone loves this place, someone does not, but it always remains in the memory and leaves vivid impressions.
